Further details on Lerouche’s life: His father, owner of a successful retail store, died when Andre was just nine years old. He learned to play guitar while he was in his teens and quickly joined a the local poets society. He attended University and, while enrolled there, published his first collection of poetry. It was his second collection, The Essential Lerouche, which catapulted Lerouche to some notoriety among poets in UK. Soon after, he relocated to Greece and continued to spend much of the rest of the decade writing fiction and poetry from his home there. By the end of the 1990s, however, Lerouche had moved to the U.S. to pursue his career further.
